Some questions before you download.

Who can read what I write?: You can. Nothing leaves your account until you decide to share it, and when you do, you choose who it’s for and how much of the story goes with it.
What happens to my check-ins?: We keep them, because they’re what your chapters get written from. Delete a project and every check-in in it is deleted with it, not archived somewhere out of sight.
Does my writing go to an AI?: Yes, we use APIs from companies like Anthropic and OpenAI to process some of the requests. Anything that we store related to your story such as chapters and goals will be deleted if you choose to delete a project or your account.
What does it cost?: Your first chapter is free. After that it’s $12 a month or $99 a year, billed through the App Store.
Do I have to write every day?: No. The check-in takes about two minutes when you want it, and Cass writes from whatever you’ve given her. Miss a week and the story just picks up where you left off.
Can I delete my account and everything in it?: Yes, from Settings inside the app, and it removes your account along with the stories in it. You can also email support@authoredby.app.
Can I read other people's stories?: No. Your story is private and something you own entirely. If you wish to share anything with your network, the app has sharing features which allow you to export your story and share on your own terms.
Is there an Android version?: Not yet, but it’s in development right now and we hope to have it out very soon. iPhone came first; Android is close behind.
